I’ve always had an analytical mind, even from a young age, but wasn’t quite sure where I wanted to work. I was introduced to Xuber by a friend, who told me more about the company and the exciting changes that were happening at the time of its launch. Since starting my role I’ve learnt an enormous amount; how to code, join systems together and how we customise and tailor our products for some really prestigious companies. The team here is really supportive at helping me develop, they even arranged for me to visit our offshore development teams in India. Looking towards the future, by next month I am due to progress to Junior Support Analyst, where I’ll have more independence and ownership over projects. Xuber was the best choice I made; it’s really somewhere that’s made my career take off.
James – Xuber Trainee, joined in 2012.

When I was at college I had studied ICT and learned how large technology change projects came about and knew I wanted to be part of this. I thought about going to university, but after finishing my A-Levels I really wanted to work on real life projects, rather than study something theoretical. In my current role as Junior Support Analyst, I work as part of a small team who manage elements of the Xuber product. This means taking on all kinds of work, from scoping customer requirements, performing agreed maintenance and support, to helping project manage new releases and development. The biggest challenge has been learning to use our new and older technology, as we have to support both; but to do this my team has spent lots of time educating and developing me. So far I’ve really enjoyed my time here, there is so much to learn, and everyone is really willing to help you progress.
Richard – Xuber Trainee, joined in 2012.

What happens after I’ve completed the scheme?
It all depends on where you want to go! It is likely you will be managing a small team of people to support the Xuber product, whilst closely liaising with our technical teams and clients.
